Since 2022, this Eurofighter of the Austrian Armed Forces with its tiger-themed livery in the national colors has been exciting spectators at sir shows all over Europe. The Surveillance Wing based in Zeltweg, Styria, has been operating 15 Eurofighters to monitor Austrian airspace since 2007. These represent an enormous increase in performance for the Austrian Armed Forces: for example, the Eurofighter needs just seven minutes to cover the route from Zeltweg to Austrias capital, Vienna. Its predecessor, the Saab 35 Draken, took over twice as long - valuable minutes that can be decisive in an emergency.
