With the street map, which WIKING now presents a true-to-the-original reprint in response to numerous collector requests, Peltzer wanted to put its instructional learning ideas into children's hands. Already with its premier, a simple street map can be referred to as 'traffic school'. Peltzer's idea, to create an extensive toy system with supplemental miniatures, was based on the street map. It was available over the years in many versions with slight modifications and remained in production until 1971. Therefore, the time for the historical reprint more than 40 years after the last programme sales has arrived, because the numerous attractive revitalised WIKING period miniatures have now earned an authentic living environment.
