Lanz Bulldog with roof- yellow
Mannheim tractor legend shines as brightly as the sun
When making its entrance, the yellow Lanz Bulldog is impossible to miss and now adds to WIKINGs selection of historic farm tractors. The contemporary roof and windscreen on this tractor engineered by the agricultural machinery maker from Mannheim adds a distinct element of authenticity.
The fact that they elevated the Lanz Bulldog to the status of a classic in 1973 already is a testament to WIKINGs early expertise in this subject area. It is no wonder then that this miniature with its new and rounded-off character gives off a distinctive Lanz aura. For the model he ended up releasing in 1973 to kick off this classic series, WIKING head Friedrich Peltzer chose as his prototype the D1506 with 55 hp.
He could have chosen any other large Bulldog with 10.3-litre engine displacement as they looked identical on the outside and their model series was easy to identify and distinguish from the little 4.7-litre Bulldogs (four cooling elements as opposed to three in the smaller models).
Another distinguishing feature is the miniaturised tank support trio, which marks this machine as the Ackerluft version with petrol starting device. This model series furthermore comes with air tyres.
