Timber transporter (Magirus)
Thundering through the forest: Air-cooled Ulm transporter with long cargo
Magirus transporters hauling this load could be seen by the dozens in the forests of Germany - powerful and rugged as can be. The 1:87 model sibling of this square hood carries the same heavy load of felled trees. The roaring Deutz diesel engine in the original was unmistakable when the Magirus with its angular hood struggled under the load of its long timber cargo. It was largely thanks to the dependability of its air-cooled engine that this square hood quickly became a popular choice in every forest.
