Description

MAN TGX GX 6x2 low boy semitrailer "Mammoet" (Netherlands/Utrecht)

Two years after the big Liebherr LTM 1300-6.2 crane (312639), another "normal" road vehicle from Mammoet is now appearing. Mammoet Holding B.V. was founded in 1971 by the three companies Goedkoop (Amsterdam) Van Wezel (Hengelo) and Stoof (Breda). If one goes back to the actual origin, one ends up at May 13, 1807. On that Wednesday Jan Goedkoop bought a 140t cargo ship and offered transport services for freight and passengers. Salvage and towing services were already performed on the side. Since the merger to the holding company more than 50 years ago, the main field is heavy transport and crane work. Mammoet does not move mountains, but sometimes complete houses (or even churches). This 3-axle MAN TGX GX pulls a 5-axle semi low-loader and is mainly used in Great Britain. The model appears in a unique edition.
