Box semi-trailer with the allure of an American Dorsay

The horizontally striped ribs on the box superstructure attest to the singularity of Made in USA body construction. And, as a matter of fact, WIKING head Fritz Peltzer had preserved historical material about the Gold Series of Dorsay semi-trailers in his archive.

The photographs showed the box semi-trailer during its European launch presentation at IAA 1963. Back then, this background material helped create the first miniaturisation of the former box semi-trailers and define their design language. It enabled master model maker Alfred Kedzierski to craft the twin-axle box semi-trailer, which broke new ground at the time.

WIKING is now turning back time with a new release of the semi-trailer model, which turned out to be a nearly identical reincarnation of the twin-axle box semi-trailer thanks to the use of new moulds. Since the original moulds were converted in the past, it had not been possible to make additional models based on historical prototypes. Today, the contemporary semi-trailers fit in seamlessly with WIKINGs philosophy, as their miniaturised versions accurately attest to the expansion of the lorry world at the time.

The pairing with the tractor unit and the drivers cab of the Mercedes-Benz equally engrained with WIKING DNA while shaped in their own new moulds gives birth to a lorry combination that makes every dream come true.
