Timber transporter (MB LPS 131).
• In the forest: First the bonnet truck and then the cubic generation
Initially it was the bonnet trucks, that dominated all forestry operations across the Federal Republic in the 1960s. The same applied at WIKING, where forestry jobs were assigned to the Mercedes-Benz short hood. However, the Mercedes-Benz LPS 1317 also paved the way into the timber transport business for cab-overs. Now the time has come for the cubic generation to stage its comeback in the 1:87 selection and haul the heavy load of felled trees again. Back in the day, WIKING had even paired the trailer with the NG tractor unit – turning the timber transporter into a mainstay of the model selection.
