Description
Flygplan Aviogenex Tupolev TU-134A YU-AJA Titograd
Aviogenex was founded in 1968 as a charter airline to bring sunseekers from Western Europe, with a focus on Germany and Great Britain, to Yugoslavia. On April 30, 1969, the first flight from Belgrade to Düsseldorf took place with a TU-134. YU-AJA, delivered in 1971, was named for the city of Titograd. Between 1946 and 1992, the city of Podgorica, now the capital of the Republic of Montenegro, was renamed in honor of Yugoslav President Josip Tito.
