Flygplan Boeing 747LCF Dreamlifter
Numerous components of the Boeing 787, aka Dreamliner, are manufactured in Japan and Italy and then transported to the USA for final assembly using four heavily modified 747-400 aircraft. Boeing therefore nicknamed these Large Cargo Freighters fittingly Dreamlifters. Originally delivery to Malaysia Airlines in 1992, N718BA was the last of a total of four jumbo jets to be converted, entering service for Boeing in 2010. Next to the bulbous cargo hold, most striking feature is swing tail cargo door. This newly developed 1/500 scale version can be displayed closed or with the tail swung sideways.
