In 2013 this specially equipped Boeing 747-8 replaced an older 400 series jumbo jet. 9K-GAA is used, in addition to two Airbus A340-500, by the Emir of Kuwait and his family, as well as high-ranking state officials. Kuwait is one of several countries that use the Queen of the Skies for their heads of state, such as Turkey, South Korea, Morocco, Qatar or Egypt and now also joins a series of governmental aircraft released by Herpa in the 1/500 scale.
