An Opel Blitz as flaunted in the sales brochure

At the unveiling of the new short hood generation of the Opel Blitz, WIKING had arranged on the desk the sales literature issued by the Rüsselsheim parent company. All Fritz Peltzer had to do was make a decision – and he did. This time, WIKING has implemented the widely known brochure appearance of the flatbed short hood in the pastel blue colour design depicted in the advertising photographs of the time - a gorgeous model and a stunning reflection of the period! After carefully perusing the brochures, WIKING founder Fritz Peltzer decided to create not one, but several versions of the Opel Blitz. As a result, the product range featured four incarnations of the Blitz short hood, which Opel introduced in 1960: a flatbed truck, a trailer truck, a refrigerated truck and turntable ladder truck.
