Flatbed trailer truck (Opel Blitz) "Dinkel"
A small and neat Opel trailer truck guided by a short hood
Opel had already presented the WIKING prototype when they unveiled the short hood model. Staying true to its sibling from body maker Dinkel , the little trailer truck was put on display in Opels brochure at the time. WIKING founder Fritz Peltzer decided to create not one, but several versions of the Opel Blitz. Consequently, the Blitz short hood launched by Opel as a flatbed trailer truck in 1960 was adopted into WIKING's product range shortly thereafter. Today, semi-trailers hauled by an Opel Blitz tractor unit are a true rarity amongst the vast host of classics.
