Less is known about the ocean floor than about the surface of the moon, the Shinkai 6500 is trying to change that. This exceptional submersible can take three passengers down to a depth of slightly over 21,000 feet (6500 meters). Once it is at the bottom, powerful lights, cameras and robotic manipulator allow researchers to observe and interact with a piece of the world few will ever see. This kit features a new motor and horizontal stabilizer parts to match updates made to the research vessel made in 2012.
