Description

Fire brigade - van

All-purpose weapon for the fire brigades of Germany

Employed in high three-digit numbers, the VW T3 was one of the indispensable vehicles in the fleets of the European fire brigades. Whether used as a specially equipped equipment trolley (GW) or as a multi-purpose vehicle (MZF) for the background service - the third generation of the Wolfsburg transporter always scored high marks with its rear engine. It should therefore come as no surprise that there are still vehicles in service at fire brigades today which are at least 30 years old. And, those that will be taken out of service in the future are sure to fetch a high price and largely end up in the hands of collectors. Unveiled in 1979, the original rolled off the line in Hanover, the model deserved its place in the Bulli chronology, which WIKING continued in 1983 and elevated by releasing the T3 both a minibus and a transporter version.
