Ford Capri I - copperbrown met with black roof
The Ford Capri I boasting a sundowner look
This copper brown metallic hue was omnipresent in the advertisements of the time. Tone in tone with its exterior, the Ford Capri I was usually presented appropriately against the light of the sunset. The Capri I managed to expound the notion of a coupé in the 1970s: The combination of a sporty ambience with sufficient space for the passenger in the back seat. Produced between 1969 and 1972, the original can undoubtedly be grouped in a very selective category of snappy coupés that defined what new sportiness was supposed to mean in European auto making at the turn of the 60s/70s.
