stuck oil and dirt residues
Deposits from traction tire wear
Oxide layers on the rail, center conductor and contact wire
... and thus achieve:
significantly higher operating hours of the vehicles
safe power collection from rail, center conductor and contact wire
trouble-free driving
The fully functional, mobile rail and overhead line grinding car for all H0 track and control systems was specially developed to remove stuck oil and dirt residues on rails, central conductors and contact wire. Even the finest dirt on the rail head can lead to significant operational disruptions.
By installing the innovative and reliable cleaning technology in a rail vehicle, even particularly inaccessible areas of your model system such as tunnels, shadow stations and track systems spanned by contact wires can be cleaned without any problems.
The maintenance-free operating times of your rail vehicles are significantly increased and a safe current consumption from the rail, center conductor and contact wire is achieved.
The cleaning trolley is supplied with power via the driving voltage and can be pulled or pushed by standard traction vehicles. He has no drive to move.
The vehicle is equipped with close coupling kinematics and NEM coupling receptacle. The power is supplied via the 4-point wheel contact set or the ski grinder on the car's bogie. The cleaning technology is driven by a durable and maintenance-free bell armature motor (Faulhaber1).
The innovative control electronics SSF-09 (automatic start / stop function) work based on movement. When the car is moved on the powered track (pulled or pushed by a locomotive), the cleaning technology switches on automatically. If the moving, activated cleaning trolley comes to a stop (e.g. signal stop), the cleaning technology switches off automatically. The cleaning trolley can be used on analogue and digitally controlled systems.
The battery station carried in the grinding carriage and charged via the track voltage buffers the cleaning technology motor in the event of a power failure on the rail (e.g. due to dirt). In this way, we maintain the cleaning effect of the rail grinding car even on short, currentless track sections.
The high-speed, radial-acting cleaning technology runs rotating over the rail head (possibly central conductor or overhead line) and can be adjusted using a height adjustment screw (see picture). The drive block is mounted on one side in a carriage chassis and can therefore react optimally to differences in height in the track.
The predominantly soft polishing materials also lie slightly around the rail head and thus clean the extremely critical inside of the profile head and the tips of the center conductor.
To clean the catenary, the drive block is rotated by 180 ° and resiliently adjusted with the enclosed compression spring on the contact wire (see picture). Use the catenary polishing disc (item no. 9048).
Various materials are available for cleaning the track and overhead line systems (item no. 9044 - 9048). Our rail and overhead line grinding car is equipped with a polishing disc (item no. 9046) as standard. This should be renewed after approx. 30-50 operating hours (depending on the amount of dirt).
For example, to save you having to convert the grinding unit for use with different cleaning materials, we also offer the grinding unit from the H0 rail and overhead line grinding car individually with appropriate cleaning materials (item no. 9030, 9032, 9033, 9034, and 9036 see Picture).
An Fe2 H0 scrap collector (Item No. 9028) for collecting ferrous deposits (nails, screws, shavings) in the entire track area is available as an accessory kit for all H0 rail grinding cars. (Attention! Can only be used to a limited extent with reed contacts).
We also offer a special center conductor cleaning system to supplement the H0 rail grinding car with our MLR-1 insert, which can be used in exchange for the grinding unit.
