MB 220 S - pastel turquoise
Trendy Economic Miracle paintwork for the tail fin
The bearing bars on the rear set the Mercedes-Benz 220 S apart and allowed the designers to settle a score with the pontoon shape of the post-war years. However, the original of WIKINGs model of the luxury limousine from Untertürkheim was later most commonly identified by its tail fins in common parlance. Anyone who had the privilege of taking a seat behind its steering wheel had become established figures. It was apparent at first glance that the pastel turquoise colour was catering to the spirit of the modern age. More traditional minds preferred to drive their magnificent chrome vehicle with black paintwork.
