Far from unlucky: Rosenkranzs 13, the Faun stanchion trailer truck

This 13 is no jinx! This Faun with its stanchion trailer rounds out the long line of twelve familiar models that have been created in the image of the prototypes made by Paul Rosenkranz, the maker of heavy-duty transporters from Witten on the Ruhr.

WIKING fans are only too familiar with the abundant variety the heavy-duty transport expert Rosenkranz in Witten had to offer. However, this tractor-trailer combination has never been seen at WIKING, as the distinctive Faun tractor unit has only now been adopted into the product family! The bygone world of the Rosenkranz epitomised the tremendous appeal held by 1:87 scale models. The blaring fire engine red on each of the vehicles the Witten logistics specialist made their fleet stand out all across the Ruhr Valley region.

And, the good name with the four letters became a household name, as it was always mentioned first in Germanys commercial vehicle industry when the conversation turned to heavy-duty tractor units: Faun manufactured the tractor units both for German forwarders and for their export business.

It comes as little surprise then that the F610 series was dominated exclusively by heavy-duty tractor units capable of pulling up to 80 tonnes even as a semi-trailer vehicle. The engine output alternated between 250, 262 and 275 hp. The outward appearance of the vehicle was surprising as it deviated from the looks of other heavy-hitting machines and the bonnet with the Faun sign rushed ahead of the axle

Attached red stanchion pockets with dark tension chain. Red and white diagonal warning stripes on the side at the front and rear, but also on the rear bumper. White imprint on the sides of the semi-trailer: Paul Rosenkranz.
