DKW Junior made a name for itself as a small limousine

Its compact size and great agility made it a miniature limousine of sorts. The DKW Junior came to perfectly counter-balance the VW Beetle, which dominated the streets at the time. But there's more: The Junior in the de Luxe version was a successful combination of limousine and sportiness. No wonder that WIKING immortalised the entry into comfortable locomotion right at the beginning of the 1960s by adding a miniature of this vehicle to their selection. The traditional model makers used revitalized moulds to create a new take of the Junior de Luxe. When it was revealed at the 1961 IAA auto show, the Junior de Luxe caused quite a stir thanks to Auto Union's decision to treat the vehicle to such striking extras as accentuated headlamps and additional chrome trim. WIKING has breathed new life into this small car classic for the 1:87 scale thanks to an optimum level of detailing, which mimics the original vehicle. Naturally, from historical WIKING moulds, revitalised especially for this model.

Body pastel blue with roof imprinted pearl white. Chassis aluminium silver, glazing topaz. Wheel rims with silver wheel hub. Door handles, ornamental strips, and window strips on both sides painted silver. Front and rear lettering DKW Junior / DKW Junior de Luxe and window trims painted silver. Radiator grille hand-painted in silver with Auto Union rings imprinted dust grey. Headlamps painted silver, tail lights hand-painted red.
