Willys Jeep CJ-3A ivory beige
Back in the day, Willy's Jeep used to be a model-making must-have
One of the earliest models WIKING ever made, this Willys Jeep left a distinctive mark on their model vehicle range - and for good reason. An embodiment of the Allies’ presence dominating people's everyday lives, the American Jeep rose to rank among the most popular all-wheel drive vehicles of the early fifties - becoming a model-making must for WIKING head Fritz Peltzer! Unveiled in 1949, the CJ-3A was already furnished with a single-pane windscreen. With the 1951 model year, the manufacturer introduced a slightly slimmed-down Farm Jeep, which serves as the model for WIKING’s rendition. By 1953, no fewer than 131,843 units were made of this type CJ-3A Jeep. Bearing the designation of M38, the military version of the CJ-3A was powered by a 2.2 litre engine, had a length of 3.3 metres and tipped the scales at just 823 kg.
