Porsche 911 Coupé - khaki grey
With this Porsche, WIKING is creating a miniaturised classic
This model gave birth to the nine-eleven legend on the 1:87 scale! At the time, WIKING had someone on their staff who was a great champion for a miniaturised version of the sports car from Zuffenhausen. Klaus-Dieter Hinkelmann, who served WIKING for many decades as factory manager, piloted the legendary 911 himself for several years even in the highly popular amateur competitions on the AVUS racing circuit back then. The decision to miniaturise the then-revolutionary Porsche on the H0 scale thus came easy to WIKING head Fritz Peltzer and was made to the delight of Klaus-Dieter Hinkelmann. At the time, Porsche was writing a bona-fide success story with the 911 series that turned the sports car maker into the automotive icon we know today.
