Flygplan LOT Polish Airlines Antonov AN-24B
The rugged and reliable AN-24, a product of Oleg Antonovs design bureau, was produced in more than 1,000 units between 1959 and 1979. It was in service with Polands LOT from 1966 to 1991. The crew was composed of two pilots, a mechanic, and up to four cabin crew members. The passenger cabin initially accommodated 44-52 seats, which was later standardized to 50-52 seats. The AN-24 was primarily used on domestic flights and, in its early service period, even on international flights until the introduction of the TU-134 jet. The AN-24 fleet was retired in 1991 and replaced by ATR-42 and ATR-72 aircraft.
