VW T1 (Type 2) box van 'UPS'
Hard to believe: UPS drove the VW T1 in the USA
While in Germany the postal delivery service continued to be a sovereign task performed by the Deutsche Bundespost, in the USA, parcel delivery services had long since been privatised. United Parcel Service relied on the VW T1 (Type 2) as early as the 1950s. The dark brown box van miniaturised by WIKING already bore the golden lettering of UPS.
