VW T1 bus "Transit Transport"
Even the Transit-Transport in Flensburg cannot do without the “Bulli”
The theme of this forwarding company is held near and dear by the designers at WIKING as this rich-in-tradition logistics company has remained easily recognisable by constantly evolving their design language. All created from authentic prototypes of Transit Transport Flensburg 7111, the various models are now joined by the VW T1. It was viewed as the all-rounder among vehicles handling small jobs.
Now miniaturised by WIKING in the style of the period, the Flensburg forwarding company “Transit Transport 7111” used the prototype for their day-to-day transport operations. Heinrich Peter Petersen founded the forwarding company at the port of Flensburg in 1947, and a new forwarding facility in the Schleswiger Strasse in Flensburg was opened in 1962. The fleet also included the Millipede, which WIKING has already launched as a miniature.
