The NYK Line company (Japanese: Nippon Yusen Kaisha) was founded in 1885 as part of the Mitsubishi concern and is one of the world’s biggest shipping company and is member of the Grand Alliance. The NYK group is worldwide represented by approx. 48.000 employees and has meanwhile established one of the world’s biggest transport- and logistic networks. The Herpa model is a container semitrailer with a 20ft “Open Top container” and a 20ft. container. The latter is a mold novelty and replaces the former containers with framework and six side walls.
